About Sampson

Joanna Sampson, FNP, NP, of Alexandria, Virginia, is an integral part of the compassionate team of providers at Gyne Health Women’s Center in Alexandria, Virginia. Joanna is an experienced nurse practitioner with a passion for family health and women’s wellness.

Joanna began her formal education in Poznan, Poland, where she completed a master’s degree in social science and education from Adam Mickiewicz University in 2000. She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Hunter Bellevue School of Nursing in New York City in 2008; and in 2018, completed her master’s degree in family nursing at Marymount University in Alexandria, Virginia. 

Joanna is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. As an expert in family and obstetrical nursing, she writes for nursing journals and presents updated, research-based information to other professionals in her field. 

Joanna speaks both English and Polish for the benefit of her patients and offers holistic, patient-based care to women of all ages. She and the team at Gyne Health Women’s Center provide preventive care and compassionate treatment for conditions such as incontinence, sexually transmitted disease, and pelvic pain. Joanna is also passionate about medical weight loss and supporting women in every stage of reproductive health, including pregnancy and menopause.
